What is Reflexology?

​

There are 3 main ways to deliver Reflexology treatments - on your feet, your face or your hands.  I offer all 3!

Reflexology is a therapeutic technique that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or face. These points are believed to correspond to different organs, glands, and systems in the body. The practice is based on the idea that these areas, known as reflex zones, are connected to the body’s energy flow and can help promote balance and healing.

​

During a reflexology session, a trained practitioner uses their thumbs, fingers, and hands to apply pressure to the reflex points. By stimulating these points, reflexology is thought to help improve circulation, reduce stress, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes. The pressure can help clear blockages in the energy flow, which may lead to physical and emotional relief.

Reflexology is generally safe for most people. It’s a non-invasive therapy that can be relaxing and soothing. However, it’s always a good idea to let the practitioner know if you have any specific health concerns or conditions, as some reflex points might need to be approached with caution.

Fertility Reflexology

Having been through my own struggles to conceive, I understand how emotionally and physically draining this time is. 

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or having support through IVF, I am here to help.  Together we will schedule

your treatment time so it coincides with your menstrual cycle and makes the most of those important fertile days.

But don't make it all about you!  What about your partner? 

You are on this journey together so why not book them in for a treatment too.

Maternity Reflexology

​

If you are pregnant and want a relaxing treatment or you have pregnancy related issues e.g. SPD, 

Reflexology can help.  

​

If I have not been your Reflexologist prior to becoming pregnant, I do not provide treatments if you are less

than 12 weeks or over 37 weeks. 

This is a personal choice and I'm happy to recommend other local Reflexologists.

What is Reiki?

​

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word “Reiki” means "universal life energy," and it’s based on the idea that this energy flows through all living things. When this energy is balanced and flowing properly, it promotes health and well-being.

​

During a Reiki session, a practitioner lightly places their hands on or near your body. This is done with the intention of channeling energy to help balance and harmonise your energy field. The practitioner doesn’t control the energy but acts as a conduit, allowing the healing energy to flow where it is most needed in your body.

​

​Reiki is believed to support physical, emotional, and mental healing. Many people report feeling deeply relaxed after a session, and some experience pain relief, stress reduction, or an emotional release. It can also help to clear blockages in the energy flow, which may support your body’s natural healing processes.

​

Reiki is a safe, non-invasive practice. It’s gentle and can be used alongside other medical treatments. It does not interfere with any other therapies you may be receiving, but it may complement them by promoting overall relaxation and well-being.

​

It requires the client to remain fully clothed whilst laying on a treatment couch or in a reclined chair.  If this is not possible, an upright position is fine too.
